Hello! Welcome back to the Unalaska UMC online ministry, a weekly post of daily readings, prayers and devotional material. Sorry for the time away due to medical. Healing is slow and steady, a little better each day.
Grace and Peace to you, Matt
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Loving and caring God, we come this morning in hope—
hope that will sustain us in our trying times,
our lonely times, our doubting times.
Refresh us this morning with the living water
of your presence and love. Amen.
Psalm 23
23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters;
23:3 he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.
23:4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff-- they comfort me.
23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD my whole life long.

ABUNDANT HEALTH
Write it Down
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Proverbs 4:26 (NIV)
Have you ever noticed that when you write something down with the intention of doing it, you usually do it? Especially when it’s important, such as lunch with a spouse or a close friend, attending our kids’ events, or an important business meeting. There is something powerful about recording your plans and then checking them off as you successfully complete them. With each check, you gain confidence to make things happen and move closer to your long-term goals.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Life-giving God,
we offer you ourselves and our resources.
Use us and our gifts,
that we may be water bearers
to a world thirsty for love,
for meaning, for justice, and for hope. Amen.
