PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION

• We have listened to your word, Lord. Grant us ears to hear what you would have us know. We have watched you at work in the world, Lord. Grant us eyes to see what you would show us. You have touched us, Lord. Grant that we may feel your presence, and follow your guidance. Amen.

 

Psalm 150

150:1 Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty firmament!

150:2 Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his surpassing greatness!

150:3 Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp!

150:4 Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe!

150:5 Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals!

150:6 Let everything that breathes praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

In our songs and in our words, we give praise to you, Lord. In our worship, study, and service, we bless you. Loving God, you breathe life into our mortal bodies; you complete us and fill our every need. For all that you have done; for all that you have given to us, we worship you. Beautiful savior, with all that we are, and with all that we have, we offer you our thanks and praise. Amen.
