PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
God of blessings and woes, we pray that your kingdom will dwell among all people, and that we may be instruments of your love and your grace. Open our hearts with the joy of healing a world filled with brokenness and pain. In the name of the one who taught us the ways of light and love, be in our worship and in our very lives. Amen.
Psalm 138
138:1 I give you thanks, O LORD, with my whole heart; before the gods I sing your praise;
138:2 I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness; for you have exalted your name and your word above everything.
138:3 On the day I called, you answered me, you increased my strength of soul.
138:4 All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O LORD, for they have heard the words of your mouth.
138:5 They shall sing of the ways of the LORD, for great is the glory of the LORD.
138:6 For though the LORD is high, he regards the lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far away.
138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve me against the wrath of my enemies; you stretch out your hand, and your right hand delivers me.
138:8 The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.

Real Faith
I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me. Philippians 4:13 (GNT)
The key to a faith-filled life is not in trying harder. It's not in psyching yourself up, but in relaxing in God’s grace, so he can do through you what he desires to do.
Paul says this: “I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me” (Philippians 4:13 GNT). Notice that it doesn’t say, “I have the strength for most conditions.” It says all conditions. That includes breaking bad habits and creating healthy ones.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
Source of every blessing, you have planted us beside living waters and nourished our souls with your ways of life. In gratitude and thanks for the fruit we have born in due season, we return these gifts to you. Bless them with your manifold grace, and multiply them in your mercy, that they may go forth to heal a world trapped in loneliness and isolation. In the name of the one who leads us into life, we pray. Amen.
