PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Great Triune God, through Jesus Christ, open our eyes so that we may see —open the eyes of our mind to learning and understanding;
open the eyes of our heart, to love and compassion;
open the eyes of our soul, to see our spiritual selves during our time of worship. AMEN.
Psalm 126
126:1 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.126:2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
126:3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.
126:4 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like the watercourses in the Negeb.
126:5 May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy.
126:6 Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.

ABUNDANT HEALTH
Reversing Automatic HabitsDo not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2 (NIV)
Diets, quit-smoking plans, and other self-help efforts based on willpower eventually fail. The entire time you are forcing yourself to change, you are under tension because your old thought patterns are unconsciously telling you to keep doing what you’ve always done. We get tired of doing what feels “unnatural” and soon quit exercising, or start smoking again, or return to our bad habits and destructive ways of relating to others.
The good news is that God can change your mental autopilot far faster than you can. He specializes in renewing your mind. That new mind-set will change the way you feel, which will change the way you act.
