Online Ministry for the Week 11/06 - 11/12 2017

Lord, set us on the pathway that leads to you. Reach out to us and take our hands. Be with us throughout this day and all our days. Heal our lives and open our hearts to you always. Amen

Psalm 70

70:1 Be pleased, O God, to deliver me. O LORD, make haste to help me!
70:2 Let those be put to shame and confusion who seek my life. Let those be turned back and brought to dishonor who desire to hurt me.
70:3 Let those who say, "Aha, Aha!" turn back because of their shame.
70:4 Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation say evermore, "God is great!"
70:5 But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God! You are my help and my deliverer; O LORD, do not delay!

Gratitude for Your Health

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

Practicing gratitude literally helps you have a brain to be grateful for. The act of writing down your grateful thoughts helps to bring your attention to them to enhance your brain. When you express gratitude on a regular basis, you will be healthier, more optimistic, make more progress toward your goals, have a greater sense of well-being, and be more helpful to others.

O Lord our God, you are completely righteous and good. In Christ, you call us to worship you in Spirit and truth. Help us to connect our faith with our daily actions. Thank you for the freedom to gather and worship you. Please protect our Christian brothers and sisters in every land. May our church contribute to an unending flow of justice for those in need. Amen.
