Online Ministry for the Week 06/26 - 07/02 2017

Gracious God of mercy, we thank you for your presence with us. As we gather in this community to share our faith, we open our hearts to the future of this church. We ask that you make us a blessing Prepare us to serve and celebrate the ministries you place before us. Giver of everlasting life, fill us again with your spirit, for it is in Christ’s name we pray. AMEN.

From The Book of Life

Psalm 13

13:1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
13:2 How long must I bear pain in my soul, and have sorrow in my heart all day long? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?
13:3 Consider and answer me, O LORD my God! Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,
13:4 and my enemy will say, "I have prevailed"; my foes will rejoice because I am shaken.
13:5 But I trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
13:6 I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.

Real Friendship No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:12 (NIV)

Through deep relationships with others, you get to live in the love that God wants to give you. When you are surrounded by others who are just as committed to loving their neighbor as you are, then you’re the recipient of love as well as a giver of it. We need those kinds of loving relationships—our health depends on it.

Faithful God, we worship you with grateful hearts, for you have brought us from death to life! We are awed that you gave your beloved Son Jesus for our salvation. He is the lamb you provided, the perfect offering to take away the sins of the world. Help us to share your kindness every day. By your Spirit, may our church’s ministries bring hope and new life to our neighbors. Amen.
