Online Ministry for the Week 0423 -- 0429 2018

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION

How did we become your miracles, Holy Spirit? Open our lives to the witness of your word read and preached today, until we know the answer, and we can only take your mercy, grace, and kindness to the streets. Amen.

Psalm 22:25-31

22:25 From you comes my praise in the great congregation; my vows I will pay before those who fear him.
22:26 The poor shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the LORD. May your hearts live forever!
22:27 All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD; and all the families of the nations shall worship before him.
22:28 For dominion belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations.
22:29 To him, indeed, shall all who sleep in the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust, and I shall live for him.
22:30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord,
22:31 and proclaim his deliverance to a people yet unborn, saying that he has done it.

DAILY READINGS

ABUNDANT HEALTH

Time for Rest
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:28-29 (NIV)

As essential as fitness is to your overall health, one of the worst things you can do to your body is to exercise too much with no rest. One of the best things you can do, especially if you are challenging yourself on a regular basis, is to take a break. Your body will thank you, and you will come back even more excited and ready to take your fitness to another level.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Gracious God, you are the vine grower and we belong to you. Thank you for carefully tending us, especially in difficult times. You provide what we need in order to grow as disciples of Jesus. Help us to abide in him, the true vine. May these offerings and our lives bear much fruit and bring glory to you. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
